CJM Properties Welcome Screen is a Roku screensaver that shows guests of CJM Properties rentals their stay details, Wi-Fi information, local weather and recommendations on the TV in their rental.
What the app collects
When the screensaver first runs, it registers the TV with our server so the property owner can approve it. It sends only:
- the Roku device model (for example "3930X"),
- the TV's time-zone and Roku store country settings, and
- a random identifier the app creates, which is stored on the device.
Our server records when each TV last checked in. Like any web service, our hosting provider processes the IP address of each request in order to answer it.
What it does not collect
The app has no sign-in, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. It does not collect your name, email, viewing activity or any information about other apps. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
How the information is used
Only to show the right property's information on an approved TV and to let the owner see which TVs are connected. Registrations that are never approved are deleted automatically after 14 days. An owner can remove an approved TV at any time, which stops it receiving property information.
Guest information on screen
An approved TV may greet the current guest by first name and show their check-in and check-out dates. This comes from the property's booking system and is shown only on the TV in the guest's own rental.
Children
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
